I'm only half sure about what song that title comes from so don't even ask. Okay, today I went running, we had stuffed steamed rolls for breakfast. I think those things are good, but I could stand to switch things up every now and again, but apparently Kaylene could live off of them and Nancy really likes them too.
Kaylene is going to start teach on Wednesday now. Yuling is having her teach one day a week to pay for the utilities since they're staying here for free. Which, is good and bad for me. Nancy says that it will make my weeks go by faster because I'll have only have to teach for two days and then get a break, teach two more days, and then get a weekend. But really? What's the point of having a day off when I'm the only one? And when it's just one day? But I'm going to use Wednesday as my lesson planning day instead of Sunday, and if I get proficient at that, then I can go exploring the city on my bike, because I haven't really done much of that, I only go where I've been before.
Oh yeah, so because Kaylene is going to start teaching on Wednesdays, she came to watch the class and introduce herself to the kids. I liked her being there. For one, it made time go by faster, and two, for at least the first class, the kids were a lot better behaved.
Nothing special at lunch today, no weird food (oh, I did try orange watermelon) and nothing exciting. I looked up information to teach to the kids about mail carriers, but the internet was acting up so I really just spent my whole lunch frustrated while Nancy napped instead of working on her Linguistics 230 homework which is due on the 23rd. Um, the semester is most definitely over, so how her work isn't due yet I don't know, but it's not.
After class I had tutoring and then waited for Nancy to finish her tutoring and then we rode to our night market to get fruit juice. Last Friday we went and he juice boy was so confused why we had a bag of sugar in our bike basket and when we told him we were going to make brownies, he had no idea what a brownie was. So, Nancy and I saved a brownie from last night and delivered it to the juice boy. He was quite terrified to take it and I don't know if he'll even eat it. But it sure was funny. Mmmmm. I had a watermelon juice tonight and it was good. I didn't really think about ever juicing a watermelon because all the fruit is is juice, but it'd be something to get again I think.
Yeah, so after our adventure to the juice store, we went to the fruit stand to chat it up with our boys there. Just kidding, I needed some fruit, and it just so happens that we always get a kick out of going there. One of the bonuses of going to the stand we do is that they usually have really good music playing. Unfortunately that was not the case tonight, they had weird techno-ish music playing. Sad day. But after that trip, Nancy and I came back and talked while we drank our juice.
When I came in and looked at the clock and saw that it was only 9:40pm, I was excited that I was going to get to go to bed early tonight. Yeah, not quite the case, we've been talking more. But since Nancy has homework to do, I'm trying to shut her out of my room. Hopefully it'll work and I can at least go to bed before 10:45pm.

‘Way back in the dark ages, before there even were personal computers; When gas was sold for $0.28 per gallon, the ‘Mamas &Papas’ was a hugely popular rock group.
That’s where the words come from that you used in your title today
Love U

Monday Monday, so good to me,
Monday Monday, it was all I hoped it would be
Oh Monday morning, Monday morning couldn't guarantee
That Monday evening you would still be here with me.
Monday Monday, can't trust that day,
Monday Monday, sometimes it just turns out that way
Oh Monday morning, you gave me no warning of what was to be
Oh Monday Monday, how yould cou leave and not take me.
Every other day, every other day,
Every other day of the week is fine, yeah
But whenever Monday comes, but whenever Monday comes
You can find me cryin' all of the time
Monday Monday, so good to me,
Monday Monday, it was all I hoped it would be
Oh Monday morning, Monday morning couldn't guarantee
That Monday evening you would still be here with me.
Every other day, every other day,
Every other day of the week is fine, yeah
But whenever Monday comes, but whenever Monday comes
You can find me cryin' all of the time
Monday Monday, ...
Trust Ms Leslie to know every word of that old iconish tune. Sorry, I was right there with her! Although I did not ever pay $0.28 per gallon for gas.
Thanks for that Aunt Leslie. It turns out that I was thinking of the right song, but after I wrote it I was scared that it would turn out to be Sunday, Sunday.... or something, that's why I had the disclaimer.
Personally, I was afraid it was Tupac's "Monday Morning". Anyhoo...have I mentioned I like Nancy? I was just thinking "I think Nancy will be a friend who will actually send you emails & doesn't want to talk to you just when there's no one else around. (just doing my job, like I promised).
Yay! for the 1st inside joke, I think.
